SOLD Antique Clay Pottery, Hand Painted Miniature Pottery
We love primitive pottery – one in your hand seems to freeze time. This is a set of 16 antique clay pottery small cups and bowls made from a kind of clay, each distinct with hand-painted patterns in two or three colors. They have an even, slight glaze, with an ultra smooth surface and are lightweight. These sentient artifacts feel like they belong to a curiosity shop.
These came from the collection of a man who had worked for the Smithsonian Museum, purchased by him around 1900, and he died in 1920.
Measures about 1.25″ tallest.
Sold as a set.
